Hello pretty lady, I'm wondering why you sit there all alone with a tear in your eye. You're drinking and thinking of someone, it seems; I'm sure he has hurt you and ( shattered your dreams. ) |

[Dee]Will you be available for tea today, my darling sister? I could use your company.

[First Impressions Committee + Patrice Nott]Good morning, ladies! I believe I have been struck with an outstanding idea for a fundraising endeavor. Given the Easter holidays are upcoming, I am thinking that it would be most suitable to host a traditional celebration in the form of a garden party. While I know this is no formal gala, it is certainly a means by which to epitomize the very traditionalism the committee advocates (and that the school itself will promote). We might host a brunch (price per plate, though little ones for free, of course) complete with an Easter egg hunt so that it will be a full family affair, and accept donations throughout the afternoon. Perhaps it might even be prudent to take donations in the form of items leading up to the event, and then host a silent auction as part of the festivities? I might, perhaps, be getting ahead of myself; I am most interested in hearing your opinions on the matter, in the form of suggestions or criticism!

There is something truly wonderful about a day spent preparing for a formal event. What better means for a woman to feel comely than to have her hair done in a french twist, to put on a beautiful dress and her great grandmother's jewelry, and then join her handsome husband in mingling in good company and for a simply splendid cause? Mind I have yet to see my Henry this afternoon (I am awaiting him as I write), but my darling little boy took the opportunity to tell me he thought I was "a very, very pretty mummy." Such a sweetling.
I am anticipating an outstanding evening.

[Ladies League minus Calypso & Amelia (and of course Andromeda)]Good evening, ladies. I hope this finds you well. I wish to take a moment to apologize to you all for the callous display which took place during our Thursday meeting. I also wish to assure you that our distinguished senior members--Mrs Druella Black and Mrs Walburga Black--are doing quite well in the wake of this disparagement, and shall be returning to their positions within the committee post haste.

[Diedre & Isabelle]I confess myself rattled by Persephone Jugson. Do either of you believe there may be any truth to her ranting?
It would seem that it's true. I have spoken with Evan.
[Evan]Cousin. Please be honest with me. Is that lunatic speaking the truth regarding Florence Avery?

Hello and a belated Merry Christmas to you all! Ours was quite splendid; as my darling Sylvester put it, what better gift could Father Christmas bring than his little sister but a month early? Henry and I welcomed Daphne Eugenia to the world this past Sunday evening. And my but she is such a calm little dear! She's hardly made a sound beyond a whimper, and she's sleeping so very well.
I'm so excited I can't help but want to share a photo with you all:
( Baby Daphne )
She is quite a sweetling, if I do say so myself! And how could I not, being her mother?

[Dee]Surely there must be some sort of potion or charm or natural remedy that might help along this agonizing process? I cannot see my ankles, but I'm certain they more resemble bricks. I've had to take to wearing slippers wherever I go.
There is nothing quite like the Christmas season, is there? A big, beautiful tree, shimmering decorations, presents being diligently wrapped in the east wing, the smell of ginger... truly it's a lovely thing! My shopping is officially complete, as is planning for the Ladies' League Children's Party. Invitations will be going out this Thursday! If you are a new parent, or have not attended our parties in past years and would like to, please comment; I'll be happy to add you and your little one(s) to our invitee list!

[Dee]I trust you have seen Laelia Nott's suggestion?

With the Christmas season coming so quickly upon us, it will soon be time to begin preparations for the Ladies' League Children's Party. Father Christmas will of course be making an appearance again this year--my darling little Sylvester is already composing letters, and only two!--as well as an accompaniment of his toy shoppe helpers. Unfortunately I do not believe I will be up to the task of keeping up with little ones (given by then I will be just one more month away from welcoming my second to the world!), but I cannot help but want to be as involved as I am able. We do so much throughout the year, and make so many contributions in our endeavors, but our holiday party is something I cannot help but anticipate.
[Ladies of First Impressions] Good afternoon, ladies! Lucia and I have been working diligently on both a mission statement and committee outlines so that we will be able to begin planning our first fundraising event before the month is out! I will be sending out owls later this week requesting initial donations to our efforts. If you (or your family) are able to make an immediate contribution, please pass the amount on to Portia Parkinson--we shall have a Gringotts account at the ready as of tomorrow! This Thursday at 3pm an initial meeting will be held at The Woodlands to assign duties and arrange future meetings, as well as to brainstorm ideas regarding events and (our first great task!) a location for the school.
If you are unable to attend Thursday's meeting, or if you have any questions or concerns, please comment here! Additionally, if you've any friends who would be interested in volunteering for First Impressions, do let us know!

Mine and my husband's condolences to the families of Minister Rump, and of Auror Dawlish.
[Family - Diedre, Augustus, Isabelle, George, Tristan & Evan]I trust that all is well, or as well as possible all things considered? Henry and I are both fine, as are Father and Mother.
[Lucia]My darling, tell me that you and Patrice are safe.

My family's sympathy for the loss of the child. Though, surely she is in a better place.
[Private]And one less half-breed amongst us to be concerned with. Undoubetly the mercy of the situation is not lost on all but myself. Better she has succumbed to her injuries than to have her serve to plague the magical community, and I suspect that, when all is said and done, it will come as a relief to her parents as well. I am certain they consider themselves to have failed their parental obligation as is--not being laiden with the guilt of their daughter becoming a disgusting crime against the natural order? Well. Sylvester will never find himself in such a predicament, that I can guarantee, nor the baby I am carrying. My children will always be protected from harm. It is quite a shame that other mothers and fathers are not able to do the same.
[Deidre]Another week, another size in dresses. I do believe that this inconvenience is determined to out weigh it's brother when it comes to term. Henry wishes another, should this be a daughter. There are days, dear sister, when I want nothing more than to reverse our roles so he might comprehend how positively daunting bearing children truly is.
Tea, sometime this week, I daresay?
